Mountain Biking Glentrool

This weekend we were away to Dumfries to do some Mountain Biking and to see the Dark Skies in the Galloway Forrest. On Friday night we stayed at Castle Cary campsite in Creetown. The site was superb, and we would recommend, fantastic facilities and great value for money at only £25 per night. Onsite was the Lairds Inn, we only popped in for a drink but ended up staying for dinner. The food and service was fantastic and very reasonably priced. On Saturday morning we headed to Glentress but on arrival found it was closed so went round to Glentrool. The boys had a blast on our e-mountain bikes, they take the sting out the hills!! Saturday nights plan was to wild camp to see the dark skies. Unfortunately the weather wasn’t great so we headed round to Girvan and parked on the beach front. Girvan is a little tired looking now, however we had a great night and a few good walks along the front and would definitely go back. Parking was free as we were off season, what’s not to like. What a great weekend and we will definitely be back to do more Mountain Biking.
